SPOILER Summary/Synopsis:

Lucy is not happy that members of Sabertooth have been using her apartment in lieu of a hotel. After going off on their criticisms of her place, they return with Lucy to Fairy Tail’s HQ. Yukino informs the Fairy Tail Guild Master that Sabertooth’s library is only for guild members.  Sting, Sabertooth’s Guild Master, says that he’ll open up the library for Fairy Tail, if they agree to a contest.

With a best three out of five rule set up, Happy loses the first contest (who’s the cutest) against Frosch. Gray wins the second contest (shadow stomp) against Rogue. Lucy wins her quiz contest against Yukino. Minerva defeats Erza in an eating contest. Natsu wins an arm wrestling contest with Sting, destroying the guild building in the process.

Sting requests that they bring Jellal with them when they visit Sabertooth.

Thoughts/Review:

Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 124 doesn’t tell us why the smeg Sabertooth members hung out in Lucy’s apartment for however long. First, how can a Guild Master afford to be away for so long doing nothing? Second, why would a Sabertooth group come to Fairy Tail? Surely, it wasn’t because of Jellal. It doesn’t make sense, but “plot” must happen.

Otherwise, the chapter is pretty much marking time to give Sabertooth a “battle” with Fairy Tail members. And the whole thing ends with another, tired gag of the Fairy Tail building getting destroyed.

Finally, I did get a chuckle out of Erza’s food eating contest against Minerva. Every week, I watch BeardMeatsFood do food challenges. So this made me think of him, as he can suck down the food like Minerva.

Final Thoughts and Conclusion

In the end, the only item of interest in Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest Chapter 124 is the fact that Sabertooth wants to see Jellal.
